Site Design

This week has been site design guilds. It is important to draw in viewer's attention in and keeping it.  To do that, it is important to understand how to design a website that has both functional and visional designs. Some designs I will first talk about are color, text, size and images. There are other design elements to talk about but these four are the constant through the different pages or websites. Depending on what your product is and the type of business model your using, will affect how you use the design elements. Colors will set the mood that you want your viewers to feel or help guild them. Text designs and size will guild and show what are the most important information. Images are the important element to use since not only will they show what you're selling but show they your message and keep them interested. The best spot to first show these elements is the home or starter page. This is where first impression are made and where they will start looking of the information they need. Next have quick tabs to the other pages at the top so viewers can see them and get to them easily. If need, have each tab show what information each page has to make it easier for them to know where to go. Use simple symbols for different functions, such as the shopping cart for checkout. Lastly have other important information and contacts that doesn't need to be seen at the top of the page at the bottom in their own box in each page. There are more design elements and functions in designing a website that can be talked about, but I feel like these are the top ones.
